Happy holidays from everyone here at Worship Recordings! As the year comes to a end we are very thankful for such a positive & productive year with releases & events. Thank you all for the support over the years. 15 years is coming up quick!

First topic is the release of Circle's follow up EP entitled 'Music & Emotion' that reaches all digital outlets this Monday December 31st. It is now only available exclusively at Beatport HERE. Full info on the release is below. You can give it a listen HERE as well.

We had to go out the new year with a blast so teaming up with D24K introducing the new goodie events for a NYE bash was the move to accomplish this. D24K & Worship recordinging are proud to present goodie NYE with Crosstown Rebels recording artist Fur Coat alongside Someone Else (Get Physical/Foundsound), Rob Paine (Worship) & Dirty (D24K), Willyum (Worship) & Familiarise (Cardona, Safarii, Jus & Shino) @ Underground Arts this Monday night from 9pm to 3am. September is a big month for events for the Worship Recordings family. Starting with tonights Live & Direct Shakedown with special guests Pete Moss & Atnarko at the Barbary. The summer brings one last shindig North Shore Shakedown style next Friday the 14th. Solomonic Sound will be heading south the following day (15th) for their residency Forward DC. Also on the reggae vibes is the Stephen Marley Show at the Trocadero Wednesday September 19th. Ovum Recordings host Crosstown Rebels head honcho Damian Lazarus alongside Worship's own Rob Paine & Dirty Thursday September 27th at Underground Arts. Also be on the lookout for goodie events Dirty & Rob will be promoting. NYE 2012! To end the month on a proper note Solomonic Sound brings back Oneness to the Barbary with very special guest Cocoa Tea in a rub a dub fashion. You rarely get a chance to witness a Cocoa Tea performance in a setting like this.

Tomorrow night Saturday May 12th is the 3rd Annual Josh Wink Shakedown Earth Strong Bash @ the Barbary in Philly. Tickets are still available for this intimate affair. Click here! Josh will be playing his standard 4 hour set starting at 10pm. There maybe some tickets available at the door but it is best to buy in advance to get the discount and ensured floor space.

Also tomorrow during the day into the evening is the massive Loaded event at Festival Pier. Headlining is Rusko, Flux Pavilion, Wolfgang Gartner, Dirtyloud & a slew of other dubstep and electro acts. We were a little nervous moving to a bigger venue but it all worked with out a hitch. Big ups to Doc Martin, Marques Wyatt, Master Kev, J Boogie, Djeff Afrozilla, Keith Evan & Worship's own Rob Paine for making this night one for the history books.

What is this track exactly?!? Being DJ's at heart, it’s in our very nature to find a label or genre to tag our tracks with. This time around however, even wearing our producer hats, we're not too sure how to classify this one! "Enlighten Me" is all at once dubby, techy, minimal and indisputably “song based” house music, as well as being the first ever track we've heard with a dancehall "mix" stylie. All of that is purely conversational however. In the end what matters is how it moves the dance-floor, connects with the people, and adds to distinguishing our productions and performances from being more than just a series of thumpingkick drums all night long. We’re confident you'll appreciate the groove and how it stands apart- it’s one of those tracks that comes in with grit and mixes out with grace. Try it!

Rootz Underground is a six-member reggae outfit from Jamaica that has been making waves on the global scene since 2008. "Enlighten Me" is originally a song of social commentary from their local perspective, found on their second studio album entitled ‘Gravity’. It marks the first of many tracks pending to step over into the underground dance world. No other re-mixer or producer would suit such a positive step forward than Rob Paine. Rob has been not only integral in the development of the band, but also blessed with the skills and accolades to please both the reggae and the dance music worlds, which he has done from day one of his career. This is the second jointly produced release Rob has done with Charles Lazarus, who is also the lead guitarist of the band. Rob once again shows that Charles certainly can take us by surprise and in a direction slightly different than one the band normally takes with its roots reggae based sound.

Whether you instantly jam to it or you're not too sure what to do with it, the duo know you'll find “Enlighten Me” intriguing. There are many more releases coming that will combine the wide musical backgrounds of Rob Paine & Charles Lazarus, always centered on keeping it moving with big basslines and relevant content, and of course without a doubt the tight pumpum production you’ve come to expect from the pair. You may not be able to anticipate which direction the project will find naturally, but rest assured they are always thinking of your dancing feet.

Worship has a new look for 2012!

We hope its a lot easier to navigate, and most importantly to find our releases.

The homepage player will always feature our latest singles, plus some exclusive DJ mix sets. Plus you can check out our upcoming events and latest blog posts at a glance.

Releases now have their own page, where you can browse and listen to the whole catalog, on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android device. We have decided to take down the Worship store, but each song on the releases page has a button to buy from iTunes and BeatPort. Please support the works we do and purchase your tracks legally!

Shakedown has it's own space on the site now, where you can check the latest events, photos, top ten lists, and the archives.

Lots more planned as we get the site and Worship re energized with our new releases.

Of course the boys do not go anywhere with out the stacks of speakers provided by the big bad Solomonic Sound System. Flash It! A new 5 track EP entitled Blazin' by Rob Paine & Someone Else for Worship is in all your favorite digital stores now. Remixes by Jay Haze & Sean Thomas.

With our digital distribution going under last month we were forced to push back the release dates on some projects. We are happy to announce that we are now with Prime distribution out of the UK. A solid company that has been around forever. The long anticipated release by Rob Paine & Charles Lazarus featuring Lady Alma entitled Ho's & Bro's has a release date for the 3rd weekend of January. A nice techy party rocking vocal track that will be sure to light up the dancefloors this winter. More info on that in the next newsletter. Remixes by Jesse Merlin & Willyum, Dennis, June Lopez, Nutritious & Bains and Roberto Viccaro.

Also to be released in January is the Solomonic Sound album featuring original & remix works between 1998-2005 with a previously unreleased track entitled 'Neva Dead' that was finished at 5am on the morning of September 11th, 2001.
