#DubMonday -Aba-Shanti-I - Positive Vibration
#DubMonday #WorshipRecordings Undoubtedly, the best way to start off any week is with a positive vibration, which happens to be the title of this weeks #DubMonday selection, compliments of Aba-Shanti-I (Joseph Smith). First introduced to the music through his fathers sound system as a youth, Aba-Shanti-I began as an MC for Jah Tubby's Sound System in the 1980's, and in 1990 would take over running their rig and begin playing his own class of dubplates. To this day he remains an unrelenting force in the world of UK Sound Systems. As always, enjoy the tune and have a wonderful week. Mixed and produced at Shanti Studios by Aba-Shanti-I. Falasha Recordings. 1995

#DubMonday - King Alpha - Planet X Dub
#DubMonday #WorshipRecordings This #DubMonday we celebrate the cyclical nature of things with this steppers cut from the formidable King Alpha. The West London based sound system, lead by Ras Peter and Ras Joseph, keep true to the roots of the sound system movement by playing strictly original productions in the dance, the significance of which cannot be overlooked. In relying entirely on their own music they inadvertently support a large stable of local up-and-coming artists, which was the original driving force behind Reggae Music in 1960's Jamaica. With a resounding bass line, mystical melody, and vocals from Tena Stelin, we regard this to be a staunch representation of their sound. Have a wonderful week! Arranged and produced by KIng Alpha.
