THE LIVE & DIRECT SHAKEDOWN – Featuring PETE MOSS & ATNARKO
This year sees two veterans of the American deep house movement combine forces for an exciting and envelope-pushing studio and DJ project. Philadelphia scene stalwart PETE MOSS and Orlando's house music ambassador ATNARKO have come together as LIVE & DIRECT, a touring and recording effort set to explore forward-moving sounds in the deeper, tech-house influenced realms of club music. With almost forty combined years of professional experience as working DJs and producers, the duo aim to challenge as well as ignite dance-floors with this next step in their musical evolution. Both artists' production resumes stretch back to the late 90s. Pete Moss's tracks have graced labels like Ovum, Dessous, Definity, and Large Recordings while cuts from Atnarko have found home on Lazy Days, 20:20 Vision, Robsoul, and Lost My Dog. The two have individually and repeatedly traversed the globe with record bags in tow, broadcasting deep and thumping beats through international club systems. Together, as Live & Direct, Atnarko and Pete Moss feel their distinct styles will mesh into a new and exciting after-hours sound primed for long time house music heads and recent converts alike.
