No (re)entry after 2:30a Please respect your fellow patrons, the venue, staff, neighborhood and yourself! ********** ********** Platinum-selling recording artist, label boss, festival promoter, true innovator in the pantheon of popular music, cultural champion, cracking DJ: there۪s a lot to be said about Kevin Saunderson. His influence runs deep, through both adopted hometown of Detroit, and music culture as a whole: as one of the Belleville Three, the high school trio which also includes Juan Atkins and Derrick May, he irreparably changed the face of electronic music; with Inner City, he gave it some of its most memorable tunes. The genesis of today۪s enormous techno scene can be retraced straight to Kevin, Derrick and Juan, as their formative experiments on rudimentary hardware sketched a blueprint for a genre that was yet to exist. Behind-the-scenes, Saunderson is intertwined with the history of Detroit۪s flagship Movement (formerly Detroit Electronic Music Festival / Fuse-In). Having produced the event in the mid-2000s, the last handful of years have seen repeated invites from Movement to display his ORIGINS showcase at the festival. With a stacked international touring schedule over the decades, playing in nearly every country and at nearly every festival or club worth mention, he has not stopped pushing the feeling of techno on and on. The Groove That Won۪t Stop, indeed.

Inspired by European electronic sounds and black American dance music, May, Atkins and Saunderson - who would become known as the Belleville Three۪ - began to DJ together at parties and clubs under the name Deep Space Soundworks in the early eighties. May's 1987 release Strings of Life' is without question one of the greatest dance floor anthems that will ever exist. In 2016 he returned to the studio for the first time in decades to record with Luxembourg-born classical pianist Francesco Tristano. The resulting album, Surface Tension۪ was released on his legendary Transmat label. Today Derrick continues to tour the world, from is hometown to Europe and beyond, spreading the language and love he created over 30 years ago.

Known as a creative visionary, a groundbreaking electronic music icon, an inspirational artist, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit; the common thread that runs through Craig۪s broad musical canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. He has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking. Staying strong to his Detroit roots, where he still lives today, Craig helped launched the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (now known as Movement) in 2000 and remains a strong force at the festival today.

:: About goodie ::

For the last seven years (and even longer for its founders) the name 'goodie' has been at the base of Philadelphia's house & techno foundation. The brand's core tenants have always remained simple and to the point: "... music, atmosphere, talent and proper sound." Founders and mainstay selectors Rob Paine & Francisco Collazo's focus on building the perfect atmosphere has always been reflected through their attention to detail from track selection to artist bookings, venue location to production value and all of it, for the right reasons.

From the German Keinemusik collective to Philadelphia's freshest on-the-rise talent, John Digweed, The Martinez Brothers and Philly hero Josh Wink's beloved 'Hallowink' events (past guests incl. Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and more), goodie has done as much as anyone (if not more) to bring house & techno where it needs to be in the City of Brotherly Love.

:: About Ryan Crosson ::

A Motor City, Berlin, London hybrid, Ryan Crosson is a complex artistic creature. Born and raised on a steady diet of post-apocalyptic landscapes, dark warehouses, and the sounds of Plastikman, Matthew Dear, Magda, and Villalobos, Ryan۪s DJ sets expand the horizon of possibility without sacrificing dance music۪s core element of sweaty, hedonistic fun. His unique musical vocabulary and tireless dedication ensure him a place in the dynasty of forward-thinking techno transplants.

Alongside Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves, Ryan is responsible for running Visionquest Records, one of dance music۪s most cherished and eclectic imprints. Ryan and his partners in Visionquest have honed a whole new landscape of lush, organic techno and esoteric left-field electronica.
