#WorshipWednesday- Hakan Lidbo- Trinity- (Solomonic Re-Blessing)

#WorshipWednesday- Hakan Lidbo- Trinity- (Solomonic Re-Blessing)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJrzFa3Eld8&feature=youtu.be Through the years many prolific artists have passed through the doors of Worship Recordings and Hakan Lidbo is without a doubt one of them. For this Worship Wednesday we exam Lidbo۪s track Trinity۝ and it۪s Solomonic re-blessing. The track was apart of the Natty Roots EP۝ (Wor.09) and was released back in 2000. Hailing from Sweden, Hakan Lidbo has released 100s of records on a variety of labels spread across the electronic landscape. The Swede۪s true talent lies in his versatility as a producerwith many styles developed over the years. These multiple styles articulate Lidbo۪s passion for music production as he has yielded deep moody house with SCC Move۝ (Underground House Foundation) all the way to the minimalism of Yellow Fingers۝ which was released on Steve Bug۪s Poker Flat Recordings. You can also find Hakan۪s music on labels such as Tommy Boy, Moody Recordings, Skam, Ministry of Sound, and Moon Harbour. His acidic Saxophone laden track, Overnight۝, would find itself on Moon Harbour۪s 10 year anniversary compilation in 2010. Outside of remixing House music artists, Hankan has remixed well known rock stars Depeche Mode on their track Peace۝ back in 2009. With an assortment of genres on his production repertoire it۪s not a surprise that Hakan۪s approach to reggae was executed so elegantly on his release for Worship. The track fires off with a reverb۪ed high hat giving way to many sounds scattered nicely across an island riddim. Solomonic Sound, comprised of Worship Recordings label boss Rob Paine and his roots counterpart Zack Eberz, two true connoisseurs of roots and culture music, were able to bless up the track with a remix in their signature style. The true beauty behind the Solomonic boys is their ability to splice the best of house with the unadulterated rudiments of reggae. The Solomonic re-blessing is a clear picture of this truly ground breaking production style. Worship Recordings is proud to have Hakan Lidbo as part of the Worship team, and is thankful for Solomonic Sound to have had the opportunity to touchhis track.

#WorshipWednesday- Jeff Bennett- Nudging the Dub (Original Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuUboVmpEPg Sweden has been known to manufacture some of the world۪s most estimable DJ/ Producers with Jeff Bennett being at the forefront. Bennett۪s relationship with Worship Recordings is through his Passages EP (Wor.18), which was released back in 2003. Passages contains three Dub influenced records, Renovating۝, Nudge Dem Solomonic, and Nudging the Dub.۝ The third track is at the center of attention for today۪s۪ Worship Wednesday. Leaning towards a more atmospheric approach to the sound Nudging the Dub۝ contains all the essential elements that make for an appropriate Worship release. The track۪s tight bass line moves with proficiency as liquid sounding percussions and a reggae styled vocal sample melt together nicely. Jeff۪s career spans over many different styles of music ranging from chill out all the way to tougher sounding Techno. According to his website, Jeff has approximately 150 singles to his name that can be found on the world۪s most esteemed labels. Bennett is also at the head of two record labels, Kun Fu Dub Records and Phunctional Loungin. Kun Fu Dub Records handles releases that are on the Tech House/ Techno end of things while Phunctional pushes an ambient sound. While scanning Jeff۪s news feed on Resident Advisor, we noticed the DJ/Producer has had some major events over the past decade and a half. Jeff۪s music would find itself on mix compilations by John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiie, James Zabiela, and Noah Pred. During the early part of the 2000۪s, Bennett۪s Strange Items۝ track would see a huge remix from Progressive House master Hernan Canttaneo. As a DJ Jeff has headlined the massive Phuture festival in Manchester, and according to his official website has played clubs such as Fabric (London), Paradiso (Amsterdam), and Ostgut (Berlin). As always, we are humbled to have an artist such as Jeff Bennett to be apart of the label۪s history and are proud to celebrate his Nudging the Dub۝ track for this edition of #WorshipWednesday.

Podcast 11- Sean O'neal aka Someone Else
https://soundcloud.com/worshiprecordings/worship-recordings-podcast-11-mixed-by-someone-else #WorshipRecordingsPodcast 11- Mixed by Sean O'neal aka Someone Else. Before moving to Germany about 10 years ago to reach higher heights with his musical career, Sean Oneal aka Someone Else was working hard in our Philadelphia underground techno & house scene. Whether it was working at the infamous 611 Records, writing for the City Paper, Dj'ing, throwing events, producing or running his labels... Sean has been relentless about spreading his passion and sound to our city, and now it۪s to the world! We would be lying if we said we didn't miss him since he relocated to Europe, but we could not be happier for his continued success overseas- plus he does make it a point to come home a couple times a year. When he does, Sean always spends a couple days inside the Worship Recordings studio with his bredren Rob Paine and performing at either the Shakedown or goodie events. On this podcast you can hear a sample from Sean & Rob's Blazin' (Jay Haze Remix) release that came out on Worship in 2012. Also in the selections are tracks from Dj W!ild, Dompe,Simon Beeston,Martin Waslewski,Demian Muller &Andre Butano to boot. Enjoy the delivery of the tech house master...

#WorshipWednesday- Seinan- Lion (Original Mix)

#WorshipWednesday- Seinan- Lion (Original Mix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ric78Q-LUX8&list=UUaGVqzbOskaIE251UiImDFA The UK and US has always had a strong relationship when it comes to electronic music and its culture. This can also be said for Worship Recordings as many of its artists, and most importantly the fans, are from this area of the world. Today۪s Worship Wednesday we celebrate a release from one of the UK۪s most prolific producers, Andy Graham aka Sei A, and better known to the label as Seinan. The production moniker, Seinan, consists of Graham and his now label partner, Gordon Logan. Together they released the Borrowed Roots۝ EP (WOR.17) back in 2003 on Worship Recordings. The EP consists of three strong offerings that fit the mold of what was at the apex of the Worship sound in the late 90s-early 2000s. Though it was hard to choose which track to feature, Lion۝, was finally agreed upon. Before we dissect this Worship classic lets first take a look at Andy۪s past and what he is currently up to at the moment. According to last.fm, it appears that back in 2003 is when Graham would start to see his productions being released. The Seinan duo in 2003-2004 would see distribution from Deep Freeze Recordings, Troniscole, and of course the mighty Worship. Still remaining in touch with Gordon, Andy would break from the Seinan pseudonym, and begin to release as a solo artist under the guise, Droido. Graham۪s Droido productions would consist of remixes and originals from the realm of Tech House. A notable release from this chapter would be his collaboration with fellow UK artist Milton Jackson. Milton, a UK powerhouse producer in his own right, together with Droido would release the Long Circuit EP via Troniscole. In 2008 Graham would begin to produce under the name Sei A, and is now where most of his more recent tracks are coming from. Sei A۪s music comfortably walks the line between House and Techno, with at times having a moody sensibility. The productions from Sei A have seen releases on an impressive list of labels including and not limited to Kompatk, Aus Music, Rebirth, Turbo Recordings and Soma. Together with Gordon Logan, the pair has created Seinan Music, which serves as a platform for their music and others. With producing aside, Andy has toured the US and a large portion of Europe bringing his unique sound and style as a DJ. Rewinding back to 2003, Graham and Logan۪s Lion۝ track could not fit the Worship catalog any better. Lion۝ contains a lush organic drum pattern that rolls along nicely with a tight high hat and kick. Dazzling keys and a warm organ sample take turns moving in and out of the track with a reverb۪ed vocal; classic Worship right here!

#WorshipWednesday - Rob Paine & Lady Alma - This Is The Life (Frequent Fliers Remix)

#WorshipWednesday - Rob Paine & Lady Alma - This Is The Life (Frequent Fliers Remix)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXfScQf0RDQ We are well into 2015 and especially the winter season! To help keep the good vibes rolling through the New Year and knock off that chill, the label has put together #WorshipWednesday that is of superstar proportions. As we dust off the Worship history book, we review a chapter from a gentleman whose career has soared to the highest ranks of the electronic music world. Today, we highlight the remix from Frequent Fliers aka Joey Youngman akaWolfgang Gartner! The original track was composed by label boss Rob Paine and features the vocals of Worship Recordings all-star and certainly a favorite, Lady Alma. Youngman۪s version of the original keeps the vocals but replaces the acidic bass line and organic percussions with a classic jackin۪ swing. For the remix Youngman chose to use his Frequent Fliers alias, which is a moniker that the producer had not used much during his House music glory days. At the tender age of 24 Youngman would already find himself on top of the electronic music world with his instant House classics and being the founder of Fetish Records and its sister label Jackin Tracks. Fetish would see its creation in 2004 with Jackin Tracks following its lead soon after in 2005. Festish would be home to house heavyweights such as Bryan Jones, White Collar Criminals, Mario Fabriani, and of course Joey Youngman himself. Jackin Tracks would make its mark on the House scene by releasing mostly the same artists but with a limitless production style that focused on funky jack driven House tracks. With the accolades of his labels aside, Youngman۪s solo productions would garner him much success. His first production of deeper and funkier House, that Youngman would have become known for, saw its release in 2003 with his Chicago styled hit, Luv Bump۝. The notoriety from this release would land Youngman on prestigious labels such as Om, Nightshift, and of course Worship Recordings! In the more recent part of the decade Youngman had left his funky House music tunes aside and started a new project. Youngman would take on the moniker, Wolfgang Gartner, whose production style is more on the commercial end of things. This new chapter in his career would see Joey producing main room Electro and Progressive House. The Wolfgang Gartner persona has found Yougman on mega labels like Ultra, Toolroom, Dim Mak, and Ministry of Sound. When Wolfgang is not busy producing he is working the festival circuit, playing events such as EDC, Electric Forest, Coachella, Electric Zoo, and Creamfields. Here at Worship Recordings we are very humbled to have Joey apart of the family and wish him nothing but continued success!
