Saturday February 13 Worship Recordings presents_ THE SHAKEDOWN with special guest NIGEL RICHARDS (611 Records- Philadelphia) Nigel Richards has been on the forefront of the Philadelphia electronic music scene since the early 90۪s. He discovered his passion for dance music during his undergraduate days at the University of Rochester in New York. After graduating college he returned to his hometown and opened up the legendary 611 Records as a base of operations in the summer of 1993. From there, he went on to grow not only the local scene but his own international DJ career as well. Nigel has toured the world multiple times, bringing his signature sexy, spooky and dark techno sound all around the globe. His impact on the Philadelphia dance music culture cannot be overstated, as 611 Records and its accompanying record and fashion labels brought worldwide recognition to the city of Philadelphia. He has productions, remixes and DJ mixes released on many other labels besides 611 as well, such as Extortion, Stickman, and Blueline to name just a few. Nigel Richards has been a mentor, educator, visionary and friend to us for over two decades now, and we are thrilled to welcome him to his first Shakedown appearance!
