Jay Haze and his remix for the track Blazin۝ is under the spotlight for this week۪s Worship Wednesday. Blazin۝ is a tribalistic workout originally created by label head Rob Paine and long time colleague Sean O۪Neal aka Someone Else. Jay۪s version of the track keeps the tribal pace of rolling drums and indigenous vocal samples, but takes the elements to a cinematic level. It۪s that special track that a whole mix can be built around.

Haze is a Philadelphia area native who has been residing in Berlin since the early part of the 2000۪s. Since setting up camp on the other side of the pond, Jay has been responsible for churning out releases on some of the world۪s most notable underground labels. His work can be found on Bpitch, Desolat, Leftroom Records, Kindisch, Get Physical, Systematic Recordings and of course Worship Recordings. Jay has also collaborated, remixed, or has been remixed by some of the industry۪s heaviest hitters such as Tale of Us, Shaun Reeves, Gui Boratto, DJ Sneak, Guido Schneider, and Reboot. During the mid 2000۪s Jay would align himself with one of the industry۪s most legendary Producers, Ricardo Villalobos. Haze and Ricardo would share a studio together in Berlin and produce a slew of tripped out minimalistic Techno tracks.

When it comes to distributing electronic music, Jay Haze was definitely ahead of his time. Back in 2004 he created a website that would serve as a label and dance music magazine called textone.org. According to Jay۪s bio, this project would be one of the first digital outlets to work as a platform to download music. More recently Jay continues to push forward thinking music and tour the globe. Here at Worship we are very thankful to have such a cutting edge producer such as Jay Haze apart of the family and are excited for what his future holds!
