#DubMonday - Bunny Wailer - Dub Dreams

This #DubMonday we take a quick jaunt back to 1978, via 1966, with a slice of nice from Neville O'Riley Livingston, aka Bunny Wailer, aka, Jah B! "Dreamland", a cover of El Tempos' 1963 "My Dream Island"(well worth a listen if you've a minute), was first recorded with the Wailers by Coxsone Dodd in 1966. In 1970 Lee Perry composed his version, notably employing U-Roy to toast over an organ heavy dub on the b-side of the 7" release (fire!). Later still, in 1976, Bunny Wailer recorded a version for his Blackheart Man LP, mixing this dub of that version for the Dubd'sco LP. Every single take on this piece of music is undeniable. Engineered by Bunny Wailer and Karl Pitterson. Arranged, produced and directed by Bunny Wailer. Recorded and mixed at Harry J's and Dynamic Sounds Recording Studios. Solomonic Music 1978
